Lunch and Learn - Digital Warfare: Driving Capability Through Experimentation

With Jock Padgett (Director of Advanced C2 Acceleration, CDAO) and Schuyler “Sky” Moore (Chief Technology Officer, US CENTCOM)

Last week, SVDG had the pleasure of kicking off our Lunch and Learn series with a hybrid event titled “Digital Warfare: Driving Capability through Experimentation.”

We were joined by Schuyler Moore (Chief Technology Officer, USCENTCOM) and Jock Padgett (Director, Advanced C2 Accelerator at CDAO), who discussed their experiences building advanced software capabilities for warfighters, including lessons-learned and insights into the future of defense innovation.

Our panelists highlighted the importance of joint exercises such as CDAO’s Global Information Dominance Experiment and USCENTCOM’s Desert Guardian to ensure that data is integrated across services and commands. They also emphasized the risk of flooding warfighters with new systems and sensors without providing an accessible platform to share and analyze the resulting data jointly.

SVDG would like to thank Sky and Jock for sharing their expertise with our guests. We would also like to thank Microsoft for hosting us at their facilities and the more than 100 attendees who joined us both physically and online to learn more about challenges and opportunities in the national security space.
